That is why the Verum Foundation is implementing the “Legal Shield” for People in Need Project – an initiative based on the idea of modern, accessible, and effective legal and civic counseling. The project responds to growing social needs related to access to legal information, support in crisis situations, and the development of civic awareness.
“Legal Shield" for People in Need Programme
“Legal Shield” is a pilot project introducing a new model of operation that goes beyond the traditional understanding of free legal aid. The initiative focuses not only on providing individual consultations, but also on developing educational activities, strengthening social competencies, and creating space for informed decision-making by those receiving support. Particular emphasis is placed on accessibility, quality of communication, and the practical dimension of the assistance provided.
When Paid Legal Assistance Becomes an Economic Barrier
As part of the project, beneficiaries can receive support in matters related to family law, consumer rights, debt-related issues, social security, employment relations, and administrative matters.
